How do I move a non-shared folder into a Shared Folder?

To turn a non-shared folder into a Shared Folder, do the following:

  1. Create a new Shared Folder using Manage Shared Folders found in the left menu of your Vault  
  2. Go to the non-shared folder you wish to move into the Shared folder
  3. Right click on the folder name
  4. Choose 'Rename Group'
  5. In the dropdown, select the Shared Folder you wish to move it to 

To move a non-shared folder to a Shared Folder as a subfolder, do the following:

  1. Right click on the non-shared folder name
  2. Choose 'Rename Group'
  3. Find the Shared Folder in the dropdown menu and select it
  4. Add a backslash \ then type in the desired name for the subfolder. Example: there is a Shared Folder called 'Shared-TEST' and a non-shared folder called 'test'. When renaming, it should look like: Shared-TEST\test

 

**These actions must be taken from the Local Vault, and cannot be done from the Online Vault. To acces the Local Vault, click on your LastPass Icon > My LastPass Vault!
