If you're having problems staying logged in between browser restarts: 3rd party cookie failed because first party cookie failed!
If you're having problems with the LastPass Firefox addon:
  1. Install this extension by going to the URL in Firefox: LastPass Firefox Debug Version
  2. Check Firefox -> Tools -> Web Developer -> Error Console (if you can't find the Error Console, hitting Ctrl+Shift+J, or Command+Shift+J on Mac OS X, will also bring it up). If you do not see anything related to LastPass you'll probably need: console^2. Make sure you select 'All' in the console to see all the errors.
  3. Attach any errors to your Support Ticket. If you have not created a Support Ticket yet, please do so by clicking here.

If you're having issues with the LastPass IE addon:
  1. Download and install lastpassdebug.exe OR lastpass_x64debug.exe if you use x64 Windows
  2. Start IE [If Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, you must right click and Run as Administrator], use it until you encounter your issue do not use IE after encountering the issue
  3. If the URLs you went to are sensitive you can edit them out of c:\lastpass_*.txt. If the files don't exist or are only a few lines long please use DebugView to capture the data.
  4. Send us all of the following files (or the DebugView output) by zipping them up and attaching them to your Support Ticket.

    - C:\lastpass_*.txt
    - C:\Users\<your_windows_username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Low\lastpass_*.txt (eg:C:\Users\johndoe\AppData\Local\Temp\Low\lastpass_*.txt)

If you're having problems with the LastPass Installer:
  1. Start -> Run and type the word 'cmd' and click OK to open up a black console window
  2. In the console window, type the following and press ENTER to relaunch the LastPass Installer

    C:\Documents and Settings\yourname>"C:\Program Files\LastPass\lastpass.exe" -d

    (If the file is not present, you may want to try "C:\Program Files (x86)\LastPass\lastpass.exe" -d)
  3. Go through the installation steps trying to make the issue reoccur
  4. Exit the installer
  5. Send us the C:\lpdebug.txt file by attaching it to your Support Ticket. If you have not created a Support Ticket yet, please do so by clicking here.

If you're having a Form Fill Issue:
  1. Use Firefox to navigate to the page. If you don't have Firefox yet: Get Firefox
  2. Go to LastPass Icon -> Fill Forms -> Clear Forms to ensure that your personal data is not on the page
  3. Go to File -> Save Page As -> pick a good filename and hit Save.
  4. Go to the directory where you saved the web page file and select the filename and the filename_files directory, right click and send to a compressed folder (zip them up basically).
  5. Attach the zip file to your Support Ticket. If you have not created a Support Ticket yet, please do so by clicking here.

If you're having problems logging into LastPass with LastPass for BlackBerry:
  1. First, try changing Prefer End-to-End SSL to Yes in Preferences
  2. Next, try changing Pass IMEI to No in Preferences
  3. If those don't help, install the Network Diagnostic Tool onto your BlackBerry from: http://lastpass.com/NetworkDiagnostic.jad
  4. Run the Network Diagnostic Tool, and then click the Run button
  5. Wait for all the various connection attempts (Direct TCP, MDS, etc.) to finish
  6. Take note of which connection attempts succeeded (denoted with a green checkmark), and which failed (denoted with a red x)
  7. You can force LastPass for BlackBerry to try a different connection type by changing the Connection Type option in Preferences
  8. If you are unable to resolve the problem on your own, send your findings to us by entering them into a Support Ticket. If you have not created a Support Ticket yet, please do so by clicking here.
  9. It may also help to click the Show Service Records button, and include the service records that were found in your email

If you're having problems logging into LastPass with LastPass for Symbian S60:
  1. Sometimes, users have trouble entering their password into the password field on mobile devices, for various reasons. Once you start editing the password field, one of your soft keys should change to "T9". Choosing this option may allow you to enter your password more easily, using an editor native to your device.
  2. Another option is to enter your password in a text field elsewhere on your device, then copy and paste it into LastPass.

If you're having problems with the LastPass for Chrome extension:
  1. Startup Chrome -> Right click on the LastPass Icon -> Manage Extension
  2. Ensure that 'Developer Mode' is checked in the upper right
  3. Click the expand arrow for LastPass
  4. Click on background.html
  5. If the console log isn't already showing at the bottom, click the "show console" button in the lower left
  6. Copy and paste the console log (highlight it all and then hit Control-C), and copy it to your Support Ticket. If you have not created a Support Ticket yet, please do so by clicking here.

If you're having problems with the LastPass for Safari extension:
  1. Re-install LastPass for Safari from LastPass Safari Debug Version
  2. Click the LastPass button, then hit Control-D to show the error log
  3. Copy the contents of the error log (highlight it all and then hit Meta-C), and paste it into your Support Ticket. If you have not created a Support Ticket yet, please do so by clicking here.

If you're having problems with the LastPass for Opera extension:
  1. Re-install LastPass for Opera from LastPass for Opera Debug Version
  2. Open the error console by choosing: Opera -> Tools -> Adanced -> Error Console
  3. Clear the error console and then try to recreate the issue
  4. Copy the contents of the error console (highlight it all and then hit Control-C), and copy it to your Support Ticket. If you have not created a Support Ticket yet, please do so by clicking here.

If you're having problems using your YubiKey with LastPass:

  2. Make sure you are running the latest version of LastPass availabing from https://lastpass.com/
  3. Visit this test page and press your YubiKey: https://lastpass.com/debug_yubikey.php
    NOTE: Some YubiKeys output a different result if you hold down the button for 1second vs 3seconds: be sure to try both!
  4. If the test succeeds:

  5. Otherwise, if the test fails:
       Visit this second test page: http://yubico.com/1 and send the results to Yubico for analysis

    NOTE:LastPass supports Dvorak keyboard layouts. As of January 2010, Yubico has issues supporting some non-QWERTY keyboard layouts. If you are using a non-standard keyboard, please contact them for an update if your keyboard layout is supported.
    NOTE:If you used Yubico's personalization tool to change your key that you likely invalidated it. To restore it to a working state, please refer to this page: Upload AES Key To Yubico or follow these instructions:
    1. Download the Yubico Personalization Tool from Yubico.
    2. Use the "Configure a YubiKey for upload to the Yubico server" option.
    3. It links to the upload site and you should test the key after you enter the key details.

If you're having problems with the LastPass for Android application:
  1. Install the latest pre-build from https://rodan.lastpass.com/dev/lpandroidholopre.apk
  2. Run LastPass for Android
  3. Go to Menu -> Preferences and check "Enable Logging" if it isn't checked already
  4. Reproduce the problem
  5. Send us your logs via Preferences -> View Log -> Share (either by saving them to a text file and then attaching them to your Support Ticket, or emailing them to support@lastpass.com)
