Why don't I get prompted for multifactor authentication to log into my Google accounts?

You may not get prompted for any other multifactor options (MFA) in your subsequent logins on google.com on the same machine. It is because the "Trust this computer" option is checked by default on the 2-step verification page. As the result, Google remembers and recognizes the computer as trusted. Please follow the steps here to remove the trusted computers in your Google account and retry. When you get prompted for the LPA again, make sure to de-select this option before inputting the verification code or verifying using push notifications.
