Packaging Questions

Q: What is the difference between Free and Premium?  

A: In addition to the functionality that Free users have, Premium customers will have:

  • One-to-many sharing
  • Emergency access
  • Advanced multi-factor options
  • Priority tech support
  • LastPass for applications
  • 1GB encrypted file storage

Q: What is the difference between Premium and Families? 

A: LastPass Families includes unlimited shared folders between family members and a simple family dashboard where the family manager(s) can add and remove members. Purchasing Families also gives you access to 6 individual Premium licenses.

 

Q: What happens to Emergency Access contacts if I become a free user?  

A: Emergency Access is a feature only available to LastPass Premium or LastPass Families users. If you are not a Premium user but you added an emergency contact before this became a Premium feature, the contact will continue to have access. However, you cannot add additional emergency contacts unless you upgrade to a Premium account.

 

Pricing Questions

Q: When is the new Premium price going into effect? 

A: The new price went into effect for new customers on Feb 7, 2019. For existing LastPass customers, you will renew or repurchase at the updated price when your account expires.   

 

Q: Will I get a reminder before my subscription renews?  

A:  Yes, all customers will receive an automated email 30-days before their renewal date if are on an auto-renewing subscription or their expiration date if they have a one year subscription. This email will notify them about their upcoming renewal or expiration and the new LastPass Premium price.  

 

Q: How can I cancel my Premium account and get a Free account? 

A: We’re sorry to hear you want to move to Free. Please contact our customer support team and a rep will reach out to you shortly.
