How do I enable Yubikey authentication for my mobile device?

You can "Enable" Yubikey in your Account Settings:

  • LastPass Icon > My LastPass Vault > Account Settings > Multifactor Options > Yubikey

 


 

Yubikey settings:

"Permit Mobile Device Access"

  • Controls whether mobile devices that do not possess USB ports will be allowed to bypass YubiKey multifactor authentication.
  • Allow - Allows login to your smartphone or tablet mobile app without conflict. You will however, need to "enable" the device in your settings as well to allow this device to login to your account.   • Allow except Android/Windows Phone -  You will be prompted for your Yubikey (on non-trusted mobile devices) that support Yubikey. All other devices will be bypassed as long as they are "enabled" devices.

  • Disallow - You will be prompted for your Yubikey (on non-trusted mobile devices) that support Yubikey. Login on other mobile devices will be disallowed.

"Permit Offline Access"

  • Allow or Disallow - Controls whether access to your vault will be allowed when not connected to the Internet.
    Allowing access to your vault when offline is slightly less secure since one time passwords can not be validated.
