We Can Help

Do I have the binary plugin installed?

Internet Explorer and Firefox* automatically have binary features and do not need to separately install Binary. Chrome, Safari, Opera, and Maxthon need Binary to enable extra  features.

To verify if you are running the binary version:

Go to your: LastPass Icon > Tools > About. It should say: Binary Component: true.

If it says false:

Install the binary version by clicking the button 'Enable Native Messaging' or 'Enable Binary', next to it to download and run the installer. Further details can be found in the FAQ here.

*If you use Linux, you can install the binary version of Firefox by going to the LastPass  Downloads page > click the Linux Tab > install 'LastPass for Firefox (Plus Binary Features). For Chrome, the same binary install process here needs to be followed.

*The Binary Component is only available on the desktop versions of LastPass
