Automatically logoff when idle is enabled but is not logging me off?
Make sure that your settings have stuck. After you have enabled 'Automatically logoff when idle,' make sure to hit 'Save.' Then logout and then back in of your LastPass extension and check to see if the settings remain. If the settings fail to stick, check your browser cookies to ensure that it is compatible with LastPass as mentioned here. If it is clear that your settings are correct but it is still not working, please try and check the following:
- Unplug your mouse and keyboard and then plug them both back in. Sometimes, mouse and keyboard hardware can send signals that mess up a computer's idle state.
- Make sure that your computer is not set to sleep or go to screensaver before the idle time. For example, if your computer is set to sleep or screensaver after 15 minutes of inactivity, but LastPass is set to logout after 20 minutes of inactivity, LastPass will not logout. LastPass' time must be less than the sleep/screensaver time.
- If you use a Mac, make sure that Power Nap is disabled. See http://support.apple.com/en-us/ht5394 for a list of devices that can have Power Nap enabled and for steps to turn it off.
