Error message: We're sorry. We were not able to change your password automatically. Your password was not changed.

When using Auto-Password Change and if you see the error message:

We're sorry. We were not able to change your password automatically for site.com. Your password was not changed.

it can mean a few things:

  1. The site failed to get to the password change page. This could happen if the tab opened to make changes is closed or if the process is disrupted. Disruptions might include a random survey or similar pop up requiring action before allowing the page to proceed to the password page. 
  2. The password failed to change.
  3. The password changed on the website but it did not work in LastPass. Don't worry, though the specific entry did not change, LastPass still has the new password! LastPass has saved the generated password for the website in entry called 'Generated Password for site.com'. Check this entry in your Vault for the new password. 

If you continually see this error, please submit a support ticket and let the Support Team know what site you were trying to change along with this error message.
