Why do I see the error message "Internet Explorer has stopped working"?

If you see the error message: "Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available", check to see if Enable Enhanced Protected Mode is enabled. LastPass is not currently compatible with Enhanced Protected Mode. Please follow the steps below to verify and disable it on your browser.

  1. Click Tools on Internet Explorer
  2. Go to Internet Options
  3. Click on Advanced tab and look for the option under Security section
  4. De-select the option, click Save, restart your browser. Then retry.
