Why do I see "SSN is not found" when trying to enable credit monitoring?

When you sign up for credit monitoring, your personal data is securely transferred via SSL to TransUnion where it could be monitored across thousands of databases.  If you see the error message, make sure you enter the correct SSN and other personal data such us date of birth and address. If the information looks correct but the error message persists, it means your SSN is not found in TransUnion system (probably because you do not have any credit history) so they cannot monitor your credit data.  You may contact them directly for further assistance.
