OUR FUTURE

We Listen

The features you see in LastPass today have been driven by our user community: we try our best to build what our users want, not what we think they want. We carefully read every single email, forum message post, and review we receive and use this feedback to determine future product direction. Based on tens of thousands of user suggestions, below is a roadmap of upcoming features that will be made available soon.

We are not providing a time-line on when each features will be made available. Some features are near completion while others are just being started. We typically initially release 'experimental' versions to hundreds of members of our testing community and then continually refine until our test-base deems it to be ready for general viewing. If you would like to help test and shape the feature set for items on our roadmap, please sign up to become a member of our Pre-Build Team.

If you have suggestions on additional features or questions on the specifics of any of the below items, we invite you to join the discussion on our forums at http://forums.lastpass.com/.

Lastly, this list will be updated every few weeks, so be sure to check back soon.

Near Term

  • Multifactor Authentication

We treat the security of your confidential data seriously. To date, LastPass has helped tens of thousands of users avoid password theft by providing solutions such as an Encrypted Vault, a Screen-Keyboard, and One-Time Passwords. LastPass will soon be furthering these efforts by offering authentication with a 2nd password hosted on an external device (e.g.: USB pen drive, SecureID token, YubiKey, SMS message, Phone call, other).

Longer Term

  • Seamless Synchronization of Bookmarks & Favorites

Wouldn't it be great if you could also store your Internet bookmarks/favorites in your LastPass Vault? They would be protected from theft, backed up for safe keeping, seamlessly synchronized to all of your devices, only be readable by you, and be accessible from anywhere at any time. We feel the same - so we are hard at work on it.

  • Windows Login Replacement

LastPass will soon be tightly integrated not only with your browser, but also into your Windows operating system. You'll be able to sign into your Windows login account using your LastPass master password and once done, be automatically signed into LastPass.

  • Biometric Multifactor Authentication

Do you have a fingerprint reader on your laptop that you use to log into your Windows account with? LastPass will soon use it along with your LastPass master password to strengthen and simplify logging in even further.
